Position Overview

The Summer Interns are given learning opportunities to experience the Provider Network Operations aspect of the health insurance community. The interns will be assisting Provider Network Operations with provider directory review, provider operation inquires (i.e. updating provider demographic information into data systems). They will be fully engaged with the provider operations process.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating distribution of information and mailings related to provider onboarding or educational activities.
  • Entering Salesforce provider portal registration requests and troubleshooting inquiries from providers.
  • Assist with various projects relating to accuracty of provider demographics information appearing in provider directories, addendums, and the web-directory.
  • Assist in validating provider demographic date and contact information resulting from mass paper and mass e-mail projects.  Manage return mail projects
  • Conducts the investigation of providers inquiries submitted via e-mail and assist in triaging inquiries to the appropriate Provider Relations Representatives.
  • Other duties as required and assigned by management.

Work Shifts

9:00 AM- 5:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications

  • Data entry, exceptional communication and organization skills.
  • High proficiency with Windows-based PC systems and Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, dependable and professional individual
