Position Overview
The Project Manager – II (PM-II) will be responsible for developing and overseeing the operational aspects and scope of a project, generally with system-wide implications. The PM-II creates and executes project plans and business requirements. They also effectively apply project methodology and enforce standards while ensuring quality assurance procedures.
Job Description
- Oversee the implementation of multiple complex projects as they progress through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Monitor progress toward project milestones to ensure metrics are met timely and within budget.
- Coordinate the development of project scope and business requirements through textual and visual documentation.
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve business needs through project execution.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure contractual deliverables and support requests are met.
- Document meeting minutes, attendance and facilitate project deliverable completion.
- Prepare and communicate project status reports to the project team and executive leadership clearly and regularly.
- Initiate and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote organizational goals.
- Utilize industry and internal PMO best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project implementation.
- Adapt to changes in work responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business, Science, or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required
- Six (6) years of project management and/or operations management experience required, prior healthcare industry experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Project, and Visio
- Maintains strong work ethic, attention to detail, excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple business units
