Position Overview

We are seeking to hire a Technical Writer/Process Analyst.  The successful candidate will operate within the IT Application Support Team to work on Documentation projects, perform Process notation and analysis, and assist our System Administrators.  This position will require a variety of talents and multi-tasking.  Much of the value of this position is to aid the Company in completing projects with more accuracy, better documentation, and generally more focus on reflecting business needs and requirements.  Ultimately this should help MetroPlusHealth focus on quality improvements, help us become less reactive, and enable more proactive and ultimately, predictive actions.  Working toward these goals will inevitably help to create Business enhancements, improve compliance and governance, audits, training, application of best practices, and other desirable outcomes.

Job Description

  • Work with process owners, stewards, and users to define and document workflows, data flows, and process flows
  • Assist stakeholders in analyzing gaps between proposed and existing workflows
  • Assist Business units in documenting user guides and manuals
  • Elicit requirements from Business units and IT resources
  • Assist in facilitating digital transformation by translating processes to drive change management
  • Translate complex business processes into language that developers can understand, as well as translating IT’s technical processes and needs into language that Business stakeholders can understand
  • Generate and maintain required IT documentation
  • Work on creation of templates and standards for IT Department documentation
  • Create and maintain knowledge bases
  • Act as backup to System Administration and other Application Support teams
  • Work alone and in a team
  • Act as liaison between IT and other Business Units
  • Work with other teams as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • 5-8 years of directly related experience in technical writing and business analysis/process analysis
