Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Finance Operations Director, the Finance Administration team is seeking a highly organized and experienced consultant to support the transition of our finance operations into the HealthEdge (HealthRules Payor) system. This individual will serve as a key liaison between the Finance department and the HealthEdge project team (HRP), ensuring that financial workflows are accurately documented, communication is streamlined, and staff are adequately trained during the migration.

9:00 A.M – 5:00 P.M

Duties & Responsibilities

Workflow Documentation

  • Parallel testing
  • Assess and document current finance workflows and processes that will transition to HealthEdge.
  • Identify gaps and propose recommendations for optimization or alignment with the new system.
  • Create clear, user-friendly documentation for future reference and training.

Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Finance and HRP teams.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to capture finance requirements, address concerns, and ensure timely updates.
  • Translate finance-specific needs into actionable requirements for the implementation team.

Training & Support

  • Assist in the development and delivery of training materials tailored for Finance staff.
  • Provide hands-on support during system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live.
  • Offer post-implementation support to ensure smooth adoption.

Project Management Assistance

  • Track deliverables, deadlines, and follow-ups related to finance tasks in the implementation plan.
  • Support change management efforts and user readiness initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of 5 years of experience industry related (business, health care, insurance).
  • Experience in large system transitions, preferably involving HealthEdge/HealthRules Payor or other healthcare finance platforms.
  • Solid understanding of finance operations within a healthcare setting.
  • Claims experience.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to document complex workflows and translate technical concepts into plain language.
  • Strong project coordination or project management background.
  • Familiarity with training design and delivery is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in healthcare finance operations, revenue cycle, or payment systems.
  • Background in business analysis or systems implementation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet, or Asana).
