Position Overview

Under the supervision of the BH UM Team Lead, the Summer Intern will be responsible for assisting the UM providers and UM clinicians with discharge planning. They will be exposed to reports that support the activity around the BH UM role. The Summer intern will work on projects related to high utilizer data analytics, entering discharges to ensure FUH measures are met, creating Notice of Admissions for the BH UM team. The Summer Intern will assist with putting together trainings to support the Behavioral Health HARP department.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Learn how to summarize a members behavioral and medical history
  • Help review daily UM reports to identify any patterns or areas for opportunity to support the UM work
  • Assist with putting together learning material for BH UM clinical staff
  • Participate in clinical rounds on the BH UM team
  • General support various BH UM projects as needed
  • Process Notice of Admission and complete Discharges for Inpatient Admission
  • Ability to review data on high utilizers and participate in projects related

Work Shifts

9:00 AM- 5:00 PM
