Position Overview

The Summer Interns are given learning opportunities to experience the Provider Network Operations aspect of the health insurance community. The interns will be assisting Provider Network Operations with provider directory review, provider operation inquires (i.e. updating provider demographic information into data systems). They will be fully engaged with the provider operations process.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist Provider Network Operations Department with the provider portal registrations and support and triaging provider service inquiries from Salesforce.
  • Research and outreach providers for returned correspondence, demographic verification, and other tasks as needed.
  • Assist with Access & Availability demographic update requests and responding to project inquiries from Provider Relations staff and providers.
  • Assists with outreach of targeted Providers for education campaigns on various departmental initiatives (i.e. Par lab referrals, Provider Portal navigation assistance, SharePoint site updates).
  • Assists with the development and use of electronic on-line tools.
  • Provider outreach for follow up on inquires.

Work Shifts

9:00 AM- 5:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successful completion of 60 or more college credits.
