Position Overview
The intern, under the direction of the Director of Appeals, is responsible for the daily activities of the appeals department and processing all office functions, as well as for performing other duties associated with the coordination of the department as outlined and/or assigned by their manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately assisting in processing all appeal mail and retro’s
- Work efficiently and diligently and meet minimal required performance expectations and quality requirements
- Assist co-workers and other staff as directed.
- Participate in special projects as requested or required.
- Scanning documents
- Filing documents
- Making copies of medical documents.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement activities
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Shifts
9:00 AM- 5:00 PM
Minimum Qualifications
- GED required/college Student
- Skilled in using a computer
- Ability to research on the Internet
