Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Project Management, the Project Manager-I (PM-1) assists the Project Manager-II (PM-II) and Project Manager-III (PM-III) in developing and overseeing the operational aspects and scope of a project, generally with system-wide implications. The PM-I creates and executes project plans and business requirements for smaller scale projects. They also effectively apply project methodology and enforce standards while ensuring quality assurance procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the PM-II and PM-III by documenting meeting minutes, attendance and facilitating project deliverable completion.
- Lead smaller cross-functional teams to achieve business needs through project execution.
- Coordinate the development of project scope and business requirements through textual and visual documentation.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Monitor progress toward project milestones to ensure metrics are met timely and within budget.
- Prepare and communicate project status reports to the project team and executive leadership clearly and regularly.
- Initiate and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote organizational goals.
- Utilize industry and internal PMO best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project implementation.
- Adapt to changes in work responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business, Science, or related field required.
- 3-4 years of project management and/or operations management experience required; prior healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Project, and Visio.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
