Position Overview
The Information Technology Department has an immediate opening for a Salesforce Developer with strong experience in Vlocity (OmniStudio). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions that support critical business applications. This role is hands-on and will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions. The Salesforce Developer will also contribute to best practices, support junior team members, and help enhance the overall Salesforce development lifecycle.
Scope of Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions with a strong focus on Vlocity (OmniStudio) components such as OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors, and FlexCards
- Build and maintain custom applications using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, and Visualforce
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver high-quality, scalable implementations
- Collaborate with architects and senior team members to implement secure and scalable solutions aligned with platform best practices
- Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to technical architecture where appropriate
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft)
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following Salesforce development best practices
- Perform unit testing and support system/integration testing efforts
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues and defects
- Contribute to CI/CD processes using tools such as Azure DevOps
- Maintain technical documentation for developed solutions
- Support ongoing application maintenance and enhancements
- Mentor junior developers and promote development standards and best practices
Required Education, Training & Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
- 5–7+ years of Salesforce development experience or
- Satisfactory equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience
- Hands-on experience with Vlocity (OmniStudio) development
- Experience in full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong hands-on experience with OmniStudio (Vlocity): OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce technologies: Apex, LWC, Visualforce
- Strong hands-on experience with SOQL, SOSL, REST/SOAP APIs
- Experience with Salesforce data and configuration: including Workflows, Flows, Page Layouts, Roles, Profiles, Reports & Dashboards
- Experience with Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, Excel tools, VS Code)
- Integration experience using web services, middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), and SSO
- Familiarity with Salesforce Health Cloud (preferred)
- Familiarity with Salesforce Health Cloud (nice to have)
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps or similar), version control, and Agile methodologies
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL)
- Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow (nice to have)
Licensure and/or Certification Required
- Salesforce Platform Developer I or II
- Vlocity (OmniStudio) Certification (preferred but not required)
